A facelift is a cosmetic surgery procedure that can help reduce signs of aging by reshaping excess fat, tightening underlying muscles, and reshaping the skin on your face and neck. The best candidates for a facelift are those who have sagging skin on their faces and necks, but still have strong, well-defined bone structure and elasticity. In most cases, facelift patients are between the ages of 40 and 60, but those between the ages of 70 and 90 have also had successful facelifts.
If you’re not sure whether surgical facelift treatment is ideal for you, it’s still possible to have a non-surgical facelift by undergoing one or more minimally-invasive skin rejuvenation treatments that can produce similar results.
Botox and dermal fillers
Botox is an injectable treatment that can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines on your face, including crow’s feet. Dermal fillers, on the other hand, are injectable fillers that can also reduce wrinkles and fine lines, as well as enhance or restore facial contours by adding more volume to your face. For example, if you were initially interested in a facelift to help restore definition to your cheekbones, you may benefit from undergoing dermal filler treatment with either Juvederm or Radiesse.
Broadband Light (BBL) SkinTyte treatment
BBL SkinTyte treatment is ideal for treating areas of loose skin in the face, jowls, and neck regions. The treatment can also help reduce the appearance of scars, fine lines and wrinkles, pigmentation, spider veins, and other types of blemishes. If you want to tighten loose skin on your face while also reducing signs of aging, BBL SkinTyte treatment may be the ideal treatment for you.
Keep in mind that although Botox, dermal fillers, and BBL SkinTyte treatment are effective non-surgical treatments that can help reverse signs of aging, these procedures will not produce the same results as a surgical facelift. However, if you do not want the downtime associated with surgical treatment, and are interested in more natural forms of facial rejuvenation, these treatments may be ideal for you.
