The following is an excerpt from our new e-book, How to prepare for plastic surgery.
The day before surgery
In most cases, you will be advised to call your doctor’s office to check in the day prior to surgery (or Friday for a Monday surgery). Your doctor will discuss any last-minute instructions with you and make sure you are ready for your scheduled surgery time.
Now is also a great time to turn on an auto-reply on your work email, as well as an out-of-office message on your phone. This will help minimize the chances you are interrupted with work demands during your time off.
Once you’ve completed these items, you have properly prepared yourself for your upcoming transformation with cosmetic surgery. Although you may feel excited or even nervous the night before, try to get a good night’s rest. Turn off the television and other screens that may keep you awake, and read a relaxing book or listen to soothing music. Use this time to rest and refuel your body and spirit so that you will feel amazing when you wake up in the morning for your surgery.
Preparing for your surgery can help you feel at ease before, during, and after your procedure. Learn more about how you can prepare by downloading your free copy from our e-book library.
