What better way to get ready for summer than with a self tanning spray? St. Tropez Self-Tan Bronzing Spray isn’t any ordinary self-tanning product. By following our tips for getting a flawless, even, self-tan using St. Tropez Self-Tan Bronzing Spray, you’ll be ready for summer in no time.
The benefits of St. Tropez Self-Tan Bronzing Spray
No other spray has the 360° spray technology of St. Tropez Self-Tan Bronzing Spray, which allows you to spray from any angle and get all-over even coverage -- including upside down. Add an infusion of aloe vera for soothing and conditioning, and you will have a long-lasting, natural-looking glow. Not only does aloe vera help your tan apply evenly, but it will also moisturize and protect your skin from irritation. You will also be able to avoid the tell-tale self-tan odor thanks to St. Tropez’s Aromaguard™, which eliminates the chemical odor of most self-tanning products.
Applying St. Tropez Self Tanner Spray evenly for a natural look To prolong your self-tan, make sure you care for your skin from head to toe. At least 24 hours before you apply your St. Tropez Self-Tanner Spray, wax or shave all hair from the areas that will be treated. Exfoliate your skin, and pay special attention to elbows, knees, the backs of the hands, and the feet. The night before you self-tan, apply a thick layer of moisturizer on your skin to create the smoothest, softest surface possible. Immediately before applying your tan, re-moisturize your hands, elbows, knees, ankles, wrists, and feet.
Protect your hands by wearing latex gloves or a St. Tropez applicator mitt when applying your self-tan. Then, when you are ready to apply tanner to you hands, dilute some of the self-tan product using your favorite moisturizer, then sweep it across the backs of the hands. Wait at least two hours after application before you wash your hands.
Don’t worry about going over the same area more than once. Instead, focus on making sure you apply St. Tropez Self-Tanner Spray to your entire body. Going over an area twice won’t cause you to appear patchy, but missing an area may result in a patchy appearance. After applying your tan, do not rub your self-tan to prevent your skin from developing an uneven tone. Instead, use a smooth, gentle, sweeping motion using your self-tan spray.
Tips for self-tan problem areas
A self-tan can look more obvious and unnatural if you fail to take care when applying the tanning solution to your hairline, eyebrows, hands, and any other areas that are prone to being dry.
Those who have thinner hair should apply a small amount of St. Tropez Body Moisturizer over the eyebrows and along the hairline. Your St. Tropez self-tan products won’t penetrate the moisturizer, and will protect your hair and eyebrows from staining.
The hands and palms are often a dead giveaway for those who self-tan. To prevent your self-tan from looking unnatural, wear latex gloves when applying your St. Tropez products to your body, then remove the gloves and carefully apply the self-tan evenly to the backs of your hands. To protect your nails, apply a clear coat of nail polish prior to applying your tan to prevent your nails from staining. If you happen to get any St. Tropez products in places in which you don’t want them applied, simply wipe them off using St. Tropez Tan Remover. When using the tan remover solution, wear latex gloves to make sure that you don’t accidentally remove any of the tanning solution from your hands.
In most cases, the wrists, elbows, knees, ankles, and feet tend to be dryer and rougher than other parts of the body. As a result, these areas are more prone to resulting in uneven coverage. To make sure your self-tan is applied evenly, regularly buff and polish these areas, and apply moisturizer liberally. Creating a smooth surface for St. Tropez self-tan products will ensure a smoother, more even look.
